Máiréad played in the delightful play The Shaughraun, by Dion Boucicault, from May 28th until July 31st at The Abbey Theatre in Dublin. The play is an action-packed melodrama, stuffed with colourful and hilarious characters. The shaughraun of the title is Conn, who with help from his dog Tatters sets about helping true love find its course. Máiréad remains involved with the show 'Invasion', formerly 'Irish Dance Invasion', choreographed by Stephen Scariff and Ronan Morgan, for which she composed the original music score, together with Tibor Kasza.
